Celtics star Jaylen Brown sidelined Saturday with left hip flexor strain
Brown suffered the injury in Friday's win over the Philadelphia 76ers
The Celtics will be without Brown for at least the next two games
Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown will miss Saturday's game against the Indiana Pacers with a left hip flexor strain, the team announced Saturday morning.
Brown suffered the injury in Friday's 110-107 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. He played 32 minutes and finished with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The Celtics said Brown will be re-evaluated in two weeks. He is expected to miss at least the next two games, which are both at home against the Pacers and the Orlando Magic.
Brown is averaging 25.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game this season. He is one of the Celtics' most important players and his absence will be a big blow to the team.
The Celtics are currently 12-10 and in fifth place in the Eastern Conference. They will need to find a way to win without Brown if they want to stay in the playoff race.
