Los Angeles Chargers Make Roster Moves Ahead of Week 1

The Los Angeles Chargers have added wide receiver Jalen Guyton to the active roster and placed wide receiver Joe Reed on injured reserve, the team announced Saturday. Guyton, 26, was signed by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of North Texas in 2017. He has appeared in 16 games for the Chargers over the past two seasons, catching 18 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Reed, 23, was a fifth-round pick by the Chargers in the 2020 NFL Draft. He appeared in 11 games for the Chargers last season, catching 12 passes for 147 yards. The Chargers are now set at the wide receiver position with Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Josh Palmer, Jalen Guyton and DeAndre Carter. The Chargers open the 2022 regular season on Sunday, September 11, against the Las Vegas Raiders.
