Conte: ‘Not possible for Napoli to underestimate Atalanta’
Napoli coach Antonio Conte has warned his players not to underestimate Atalanta ahead of their Serie A clash on Sunday.
The two sides meet at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, with Napoli looking to extend their lead at the top of the table to six points.
However, Conte is wary of the threat posed by Atalanta, who have won their last two games and are unbeaten in their last five.
"Atalanta are a very good team," Conte said at his pre-match press conference.
"They have a great coach in Gian Piero Gasperini, and they play an attractive brand of football."
"We will need to be at our best to get a result against them."
Napoli have won their last five games in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and conceding just one.
However, Conte is not taking anything for granted.
"We are in a good moment, but we need to stay focused," he said.
"Atalanta are a dangerous team, and we cannot afford to underestimate them."
Napoli will be without Victor Osimhen for the game, with the Nigerian striker still recovering from a muscle injury.
However, Conte has plenty of options in attack, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Hirving Lozano, and Giacomo Raspadori all available.
Atalanta, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Lazio in their last game.
Gasperini's side have been in impressive form this season, and they will be confident of causing Napoli problems.
The game is poised to be a fascinating encounter, and it could have a big say in the destination of the Serie A title.
