The cause of the collapse is still being investigated but it is believed the 40-year-old concrete structure may have been weakened by heavy snow and ice.
Passengers waiting for trains were among the dead and injured.
A large number of people, including tourists, are believed to have been at the busy station at the time of the collapse.
