Kamala Harris Gains Support from Former American Congressman
Former Congressman Endorses Harris for President
Albanian-American Civic League President Backs Harris' Candidacy
Former congressman and president of the Albanian-American Civic League, Joe DioGuardi, has endorsed Kamala Harris for president. DioGuardi, who served in the House of Representatives from 1989 to 2003, cited Harris' experience and qualifications as reasons for his support.
"Kamala Harris is a proven leader with a strong track record of fighting for the people," DioGuardi said. "She has the experience, the skills, and the vision to lead our country forward."
Harris, a U.S. senator from California, is one of the leading candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination. She has served as attorney general of California and as a district attorney in San Francisco.
DioGuardi's endorsement is a significant boost for Harris' campaign. He is a well-respected figure in the Albanian-American community, and his support could help Harris win votes in the key swing state of Michigan, which has a large Albanian-American population.
Harris has been endorsed by a number of other prominent figures, including former Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former President Barack Obama.
