Le'Veon Moss injury update: Mike Elko reveals promising update on Texas A&M RB
Texas A&M running back Le'Veon Moss suffered a torn ACL during the Aggies' season-opening win over Sam Houston State.
He underwent surgery and was expected to miss the rest of the season, but head coach Jimbo Fisher said in August that Moss could potentially return late in the year.
On Tuesday, Fisher provided an update on Moss' status, saying that the running back is "doing really well" and could return to practice in the next few weeks.
"He's doing really well," Fisher said. "He's running and doing some things. He's not quite ready to practice yet, but he's getting close. He's probably a couple of weeks away from being able to practice. We're just trying to be smart with him and make sure he's 100 percent before we put him back out there."
If Moss is able to return to practice in the next few weeks, he could be back in action for the Aggies' game against Auburn on October 8th.
Moss was a key part of the Aggies' offense last season, rushing for 580 yards and four touchdowns. He was also a key contributor in the passing game, catching 21 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns.
The Aggies have been without Moss this season, but they have still managed to start the season 2-0. They will look to continue their winning ways when they host Appalachian State on Saturday.
