Alex Norris Wins the Saturday Sprint Race
Alex Norris, driver of the No. 12 Chevrolet Silverado, won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway on Saturday. Norris led 55 of the 134 laps in the race, which was slowed by six cautions.
Norris's Performance
Norris started the race in second place and took the lead on Lap 30. He held the lead for 20 laps before losing it to John Hunter Nemechek on Lap 50. Norris regained the lead on Lap 75 and held it for the next 30 laps. He lost the lead again to Nemechek on Lap 105, but regained it for the final time on Lap 120.
Norris held off Nemechek by 0.391 seconds to win the race. It was Norris's third win of the season and his first at Kansas Speedway. With his win, Norris moved into the lead in the Truck Series standings, 20 points ahead of Nemechek.
