Percassi: 'Atalanta Will Always Stick to Our Style of Play'
Gasp: 'Champions League qualification would mean reaching our maximum objective'
After the 1-0 defeat in Albacete, during the press conference on Saturday, Gian Piero Gasperini and Antonio Percassi took stock of the situation and reflected on the future.
Percassi stated that "Atalanta will always stick to our style of play", while Gasperini added that "although it is true that we are not a team that is invincible, the Champions League qualification would mean reaching our maximum objective".
Antonio Percassi
The president said: "I am satisfied with the work done so far. Over the years we have made many mistakes, but we have always managed to overcome them. We are on the right track, this is an important year for us. As a club we are growing a lot, and the ranking proves it. We must continue, we must believe even more in ourselves and in our way of doing things. We have always played with courage and determination, respecting the rules of our game".
"We are doing everything we can to continue moving forward. The objective? To finish as high as possible in the league without forgetting the Europa League. We must play it to the end. We can do well".
Gian Piero Gasperini
The coach said: "It must be said that we are not a team that is invincible, but there are teams that are clearly stronger than us. We have to make a virtue of necessity, we have to continue to believe in what we do. The Champions League qualification would mean reaching our maximum objective".
"In the last few games we have lacked a little bit of brilliance, we have made too many mistakes. When this happens it is difficult to win. In the league, however, as in the Europa League, we still believe in our chances".
