Storm response underway after roaring winds lift roofs off homes
A possible tornado hit the Prairie Grove, Arkansas, area around 5:04 p.m. injuring three people and damaging about 20 homes.
According to the National Weather Service, a tornado watch was issued for the area at 4:45 p.m., and a tornado warning was issued at 5:04 p.m.
The storm caused significant damage to homes and businesses in the area, with some homes having their roofs completely torn off.
Three people were injured in the storm, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The storm also caused power outages in the area, with about 2,000 customers without power as of 7 p.m.
Crews are working to restore power and clear debris from the roads.
The National Weather Service is urging residents in the area to be aware of the possibility of additional storms and to take precautions to stay safe.
