‘SNL’ Promo: John Mulaney Joined By Surprise Guest As James Austin Johnson Unveils Absolutely Sweet Impression
Mulaney returns to Studio 8H this weekend as host for the fifth time.
John Mulaney is back on 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend for his fifth time hosting the show. And in a new promo for the episode, he's joined by a surprise guest: James Austin Johnson, who does an absolutely sweet impression of Donald Trump.
The promo opens with Mulaney standing in the middle of the 'SNL' stage, looking around in confusion.
"I thought I was hosting this week," he says.
Suddenly, Johnson walks out from behind the curtain, dressed as Trump.
"Surprise!" he says.
Mulaney and Johnson then do a bit together, with Johnson impersonating Trump perfectly.
"I'm so excited to be here, John," Johnson says as Trump.
"I'm a big fan of your work."
Mulaney looks at the camera and smiles.
"Well, I'm a big fan of yours, Mr. President," he says.
The promo ends with Mulaney and Johnson standing side-by-side, both of them smiling.
It's clear that Mulaney and Johnson are going to have a lot of fun together on 'SNL' this weekend.
And with Johnson's spot-on Trump impression, it's sure to be a memorable episode.
