Top Dawgs in the NFL (Week 8)
Chiefs still Chiefs-like, but underdogs in Week 8
The Kansas City Chiefs are 5-2 and tied with the Buffalo Bills for the best record in the AFC after seven weeks. But they are underdogs for Week 8 away at the Tennessee Titans, who are 5-2.
The Chiefs lost 20-17 to the Bills in Week 6 and needed a late field goal to beat the San Francisco 49ers 24-20 in Week 7. Meanwhile, the Titans have been one of the most impressive teams in the league, winning five straight games and outscoring their opponents by an average of 11 points per game.
Titans' defense could be the difference
The Titans have the No. 1-ranked defense in the NFL, allowing just 15.9 points per game. They are also tied for the most interceptions in the league with 10, and they have allowed just three rushing touchdowns all season.
The Chiefs have one of the most explosive offenses in the league, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. But they will need to be at their best to score points against the Titans' defense.
