Vigil takes place in Serbia for 14 victims of Novi Sad train station roof collapse
Hundreds of people gathered in the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad on Thursday to mourn the 14 victims of a train station roof collapse
The victims were killed when the roof of the station collapsed on Tuesday, trapping people under the rubble.
The cause of the collapse is still under investigation, but officials have said it may have been caused by heavy snowfall.
The vigil was held in the city's main square, and was attended by President Aleksandar Vucic and other government officials.
The victims' families were also in attendance, and many of them spoke about their loved ones.
One woman said her husband was a train conductor who had been working at the station for 20 years.
"He was a good man and a loving father," she said. "I can't believe he's gone."
Another woman said her son was a student who had been waiting for a train to take him to university.
"He was a bright young man with his whole life ahead of him," she said. "I don't know how I'm going to go on without him."
The vigil ended with a minute's silence, and then the crowd released 14 white balloons into the air.
The balloons represented the 14 victims of the collapse.
