Real Madrid CF and Manchester United F.C. Reach Agreement
Sources confirm that Real Madrid CF and Manchester United F.C. finalized Vinicius Junior's sale. The two clubs reached an agreement for the transfer of the Brazilian winger.
The 22-year-old has signed a long-term contract with Manchester United, ending his five-year spell with Real Madrid. Real Madrid signed Vinicius Junior from Brazilian club Flamengo in 2018.
During his time at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Vinicius Jr. made 202 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 52 goals and providing 55 assists. He won two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and one UEFA Champions League with the club.
Vinicius Jr. has also been capped 17 times by the Brazilian national team, scoring one goal. He was part of the Brazil squad that won the 2019 Copa América.
The transfer fee for Vinicius Jr. is believed to be in the region of €80 million. This makes him one of the most expensive signings in Manchester United's history.
Vinicius Jr. is expected to make his debut for Manchester United in the Premier League match against Liverpool on August 22.
