Washington Wizards vs Miami Heat Prediction 11-2-24 NBA Picks | Sports Chat Place
Here we are, after a long wait, the NBA is back for the 2022-2023 regular season.
It is going to be a long one starting with a total of 1,230 games over a 174-day period.
The new campaign tips off Tuesday, October 18 with two games on the schedule, highlighted by the Philadelphia 76ers visiting the Boston Celtics. The regular season will wrap up on Wednesday, April 12 before the 2023 NBA Playoffs begin on Saturday, April 15.
Half of the league's teams will qualify for the new 2023 NBA Play-In Tournament which will be played from Tuesday, April 11 through Friday, April 14.
The NBA Finals will begin on Tuesday, May 30 while Game 7, if necessary, would be played on Sunday, June 18.
Eastern Conference
The Eastern Conference should be more competitive this season as the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Miami Heat should all be in the mix for the top seeds.
The Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers made big moves over the summer and should factor into the playoff chase as well.
Western Conference
The Western Conference has been dominated by the Golden State Warriors in recent years, but the Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies, and New Orleans Pelicans made big moves in the offseason and should challenge for supremacy this season.
The Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns could also be in the mix depending on injuries.
