What’s Open, Closed for Election Day

City of Boulder offices

Most City of Boulder offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Tuesday, November 8 for Election Day. This is in accordance with state law, which requires all non-essential government offices to be closed on Election Day. Essential services, such as police and fire protection, will continue to operate as normal.

Boulder County offices

Boulder County offices, including the Boulder County Courthouse, will be closed on Tuesday, November 8 for Election Day. However, the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to accommodate voters. The Clerk and Recorder’s Office is located at 1750 33rd Street in Boulder.

Schools

Boulder Valley School District schools will be closed on Tuesday, November 8 for Election Day. However, some schools may be used as polling places. If you are unsure whether your child’s school will be open or closed, please contact the school directly.

Libraries

Boulder Public Library branches will be closed on Tuesday, November 8 for Election Day. However, the Boulder Public Library’s online resources will be available 24/7.

Transit

Boulder County Transportation will be operating on a regular schedule on Election Day. However, there may be some delays due to increased traffic. RTD will also be operating on a regular schedule on Election Day.
