India vs New Zealand: India wins by 372 runs, levels series 1-1
India dominated the third day's play in the second Test against New Zealand in Mumbai, bundling out the visitors for 167 in their second innings to win the match by a massive 372-run margin and level the series 1-1.
Resuming at their overnight score of 140 for 5, New Zealand lost their remaining five wickets for just 27 runs in the morning session, with Axar Patel taking three of them to finish with figures of 4 for 68. India then enforced the follow-on and reduced New Zealand to 40 for 3 in their second innings before rain forced an early lunch.
After the break, India continued to dominate, with Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav sharing the remaining seven wickets as New Zealand were bowled out for 167. Ashwin finished with figures of 4 for 34 while Yadav took 3 for 40.
The win was India's biggest by runs against New Zealand in Tests and their second-biggest overall. It also marked India's first win in a Test match since their victory over England at Edgbaston in July 2022.
India's victory was built on their strong bowling performance, with all five bowlers used taking wickets. Axar Patel was the pick of the bowlers, taking seven wickets in the match, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav also played key roles.
India's batting also played a key role in the win, with Cheteshwar Pujara scoring a century in the first innings and Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli making half-centuries in the second innings.
The victory will give India a much-needed boost ahead of the third and final Test, which will be played in Indore from March 1.
Here are some of the key moments from the match:
