Published price list for migrant exams includes two new exams and lowers prices

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has published a single price list for taking exams by migrants. The new price list includes two new exams and lowers prices for taking exams in Russian language. The new price list has been approved by the Government of the Russian Federation and will come into effect on March 1, 2023.

New price list for migrant exams

The new price list for migrant exams includes the following changes:

• The price for taking the Russian language exam has been reduced from 5,000 rubles to 3,000 rubles;
• The price for taking the history of Russia exam has been reduced from 3,000 rubles to 2,000 rubles;
• The price for taking the Grundlagen der Gesetzgebung der Russischen Föderation exam has been reduced from 3,000 rubles to 2,000 rubles.

• Two new exams have been added to the price list:
  • The exam on the history of the peoples of Russia (3,000 rubles);
  • The exam on the Constitution of the Russian Federation (2,000 rubles).

  Who is required to take the exams

  Migrants who wish to obtain a work permit or a temporary residence permit in Russia are required to take and pass the following exams:

  • Russian language exam;
  • History of Russia exam;
  • Grundlagen der Gesetzgebung der Russischen Föderation exam.

    Where to take the exams

    Migrants can take the exams at any authorized testing center in Russia. The list of authorized testing centers can be found on the website of the Federal Migration Service.
