Serie A: Lookman forces Conte into tactical sacrifices
Ademola Lookman's impressive form for Atalanta has forced Tottenham manager Antonio Conte into making tactical sacrifices
The Nigerian winger has been in scintillating form since joining Atalanta on loan from RB Leipzig in January, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 11 Serie A appearances.
Lookman's performances have helped Atalanta climb to third in the Serie A table, just two points behind second-placed Inter Milan.
Conte has been so impressed with Lookman that he has been forced to change his tactics to accommodate the winger
In the past, Conte has favoured a 3-5-2 formation, but he has recently switched to a 3-4-3 formation to give Lookman a more prominent role in the team.
The change in formation has been a success, with Atalanta winning their last three Serie A matches.
Lookman's form has also earned him a recall to the Nigeria national team
The winger was included in the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Mauritius.
Lookman will be hoping to continue his good form for Atalanta and help the club secure a place in next season's Champions League.
