Spartak’s Squad for the CSKA Match: Zobnin and Martins Injured in Training
Spartak Moscow announced on Sunday that midfielders Roman Zobnin and Victor Moses have picked up injuries in training and will miss the upcoming match against rivals CSKA Moscow.
Zobnin, a Russian international, is understood to have suffered a muscle problem, while Moses, on loan from Chelsea, has a knock.
The news is a blow to Spartak coach Domenico Tedesco, who is already without a number of key players for the game.
Goalkeeper Aleksandr Selikhov, defender Samuel Gigot, and forward Aleksandr Sobolev are all out through injury, while midfielder Nail Umyarov is suspended.
Despite the absentees, Spartak will still be confident of beating CSKA, who they have not lost to in the league since 2018.
Tedesco's side is currently second in the Russian Premier League, two points behind leaders Zenit St. Petersburg.
CSKA, meanwhile, is in sixth place and will be looking to close the gap on the top three.
The match is due to be played at the VEB Arena on Monday evening.
